Workshop: Echo360 Personal Capture – Self-made Video, made easy

Echo Personal Capture EnvironmentEcho360 Personal Capture software is a free tool that enables you to record screen captures and webcam footage from your own computer.

Whether you want to make a welcome video, orientation of your iLearn unit for students, weekly round-ups, or a mini-lecture for that difficult concept, Echo360 Personal Capture can help you enhance student engagement by allowing you to incorporate a variety of video types into your iLearn unit.

The Learning and Teaching Centre is offering a workshop to show you the basic steps to create your own short video and make it available to your students on iLearn.

Two sessions offered in February were a complete sell out!  Academics who attended were very happy with the software and its excited about its potential.  Dr Vicki Baard, Department of Accounting and Corporate Governance says “This is fantastic!  The program is simple and allows me to easily record, edit and upload quickly rather than more complicated programs which can take a whole day“.

By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Install Echo360 Personal Capture
  • Configure and Record
  • Edit and Save
  • Insert your recording into iLearn

Please note, this session allows time to practise at the end.

18 March, 1.30 – 3pm.  Register here.

4 April, 12.30 – 2pm.  Register here.

  1. Hi

I would love to do this course, but my teaching commitments are in the afternoons. Could you run another session on a morning?

    1. Hi Lindsey, thanks for your interest! It actually looks like this workshop is very popular and has sold out already, so we will definitely look at running another session anyway. Rebecca Ritchie from the iLearn team will be in touch with you soon.
