The New Student Welcome and Induction Space – MAC101

Are your students aware of all MQ has to offer?

To coincide with the start of Session 1, the new student welcome and induction space, MAC101, launched this week providing first year students with all the essentials for an easy transition into university (such as where to find a doctor, how to navigate O-Week, where to get a campus card, etc).

MAC101 is an initiative that reflects our desire for the student experience to be seamless and connected. Transition to the university environment will always be an exciting moment in our students’ lives – but the enrolment, orientation and commencement stage of the Macquarie lifecycle can also pose challenges. Addressing those challenges – and supporting our students to have the best ongoing campus, blended and digital experience – is what MAC101 seeks to manage. I think you’ll agree that it’s a wonderful addition to Macquarie’s student support services”, Associate Professor Peter Keegan, Associate Dean Learning and Teaching, Faculty of Arts.

All first year students will be enrolled in the unit automatically, however students at all stages of their degree can self-enrol in the unit.
