We are pleased to announce on behalf of the PVC L&T that Macquarie University, in partnership with UK Higher Education Academy (HEA), has launched a pilot HEA Fellowship program at the University. A cohort of forty academic and professional staff, drawn from the five Faculties, PACE, Learning Skills, Sustainability, Careers, LIH, MUIC, the Numeracy Centre, and the Library, has been brought together for the pilot, in preparation for a formal launch of the MQ HEA Fellowship program in 2018.
This post is a tribute to a non-verbal feedback method that is a major everyday component of university teaching, but one that is under-appreciated, and now, in the gradual-but-relentless shift to fully online learning, is being threatened with extinction.
