Report on OER adoption, use and management in Australia

Open educational resources (OER) offer educators, educational institutions and learners the opportunity to participate in an environment that supports teaching and learning through collaboration and the sharing of resources.

Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Educational Practices (OEP) have been receiving global attention, especially in the last ten years, as the demand for open resources increases in all aspects of education and knowledge sharing and distribution.

The OLT Project: Adoption, use and management of open educational resources to enhance teaching and learning in Australia has posted a final report and two related resources: Feasibility protocol and OER engagement.

The Feasibility protocol is designed to enable and facilitate the adoption, use and management of OERs for learning and teaching within higher education (HE) institutions in Australia.

The OER engagement document provides an overview of the intellectualproperty rights, copyright and policy considerations for OER.
