What will a university look like in 50 years? Offered for the first time in Session 2, a new unit in the Graduate Certificate of Higher Education – EDUC869 Higher Education Contexts and Futures – gives you a chance to read the tea leaves and gaze into your crystal ball to predict the future of higher education.
The unit is designed around a series of contemporary challenges, including technology, employability, and casualisation. It also provides students with the opportunity to explore a contemporary challenge of their choice. What do you think are the next challenges higher education will face?
Now is the time to apply if you would like to study EDUC869 and other units in the Graduate Certificate of Higher Education. This program has been designed to support the professional practice of academic and professional staff working in the higher education sector and includes optional units on learning and teaching, quality and regulatory issues, and leadership and management.
Macquarie University sponsors tuition fees for eligible staff who complete the program, so this is a great opportunity to join a cohort of colleagues from Macquarie and other tertiary institutions in a flexible learning environment, with online discussion tools, virtual classrooms, and optional face-to-face seminars.
Visit this page for further information about the program, including entry requirements and application process.
Applications to commence study in Session 2, 2015 must be submitted to the University by Friday 19 June 2015.
