Meet the Learning Designers: FBE Team (Part 5 of 6)

Who are the Faculty Learning Designers and what are their skills and interests?  Learning Designers provide help in a variety of ways, including pedagogical advice and modelling, support in the use of educational technologies, curriculum and program design and development, unit design and development advice, and support in creating media and other iLearn objects.

This week’s ‘Meet the Learning Designers’ focuses on the Learning Designers within the Faculty of Business and Economics and MGSM!

Name: Tim Keighley

Special area of interest: My area of interest is preparing students to use the software tools that they will need in the workplace. My background is in data analysis and statistics, working in a variety of industries.

What book are you currently reading? I am currently reading Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett. Sad knowing that there won’t be any more Pratchett books.

Other interests: Outside of work I play Ultimate Frisbee (with Mindy), do bushcare, and spend too much time staring at the computer.

Special area of interest:  All things educational media production.

What are you currently reading? I’m more into my AV stuff, so I always have a bunch of podcasts on the go, Little Atoms, Tim Ferris and Invisibilia are always good value.
