The Office of Indigenous Strategy invites all MQ staff and students to join in and celebrate/learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements in National Reconciliation Week.
Below is a list of free events on Campus for everyone to enjoy
Tuesday 26 May
12.30pm – play traditional Indigenous games in the Central Courtyard and enjoy a free BBQ
Wednesday 27 May
12noon – planting of paper hands into the grassed area at the learning circle down near the MQ lake.
Thursday 28 May
6pm-8.30pm – catch the movie Charlie’s Country whilst feasting on bush tucker, popcorn and soft drinks. The movie will be shown on Level 3 of the Campus Hub.
Friday 29 May
12noon – film screening and free BBQ. Write a word or sentence about reconciliation and pin your message to the reconciliation tree. This will be held in the Central Courtyard.
Wednesday 3 June
2pm – Screening of the movie Mabo in the Atrium. During the day there will be an Art exhibition in MUSE along with information brochures and a reconciliation video.
