Let’s do lunch…and talk about workload

An informal get together for academics is being planned to better understand the “pain points” in teaching workload and how to ease them.

  • Sherman Young, the PVC Learning, Teaching & Diversity, will be the facilitator and will ask open-ended questions around workload
  • Participants will be from across Departments with the focus on academic staff
  • Conversation will be Chatham House Rule ie notated anonymously
  • 1-1.5 hours, informal
  • Lunch will be provided
  • Venue to be advised dependent on numbers

We are looking for:

  •  A better understanding of the pain points of academic workload
  • Suggestions from colleagues about how those pain points might be relieved
  •  A broader engagement with strategic directions and goals
  •  Further input into strategic thinking
