Free iPads *

iPad and cat, By Veronica Belmont

No this is not a scam, but part of the Faculty of Human Sciences’ move to support online grading.

With electronic grading and feedback a key strategic priority, all grades from S2 in 2014 will be stored in iLearn. From S1 2015, all feedback on written assessment tasks will use iLearn.

The iPads will be supplied to sessional staff who  complete Grademark and Gradebook training and who commit to completing an end of unit survey on the use of these technologies and the iPad.*

See the entry on the Teaching Induction Program S2 (TIP) in this newsletter for information on how to register for a workshop.

Remaining iPads will be available to convenors of large units (100 plus) who meet the above conditions and also use online submission for all written assessment tasks.*

Any remaining iPads will also be available to teaching staff who attend the workshop, complete the end of unit survey and who teach on units using online submission for all written tasks.*

* Conditions of use will apply. The iPads will be available from approximately Week 4. Talk to Lia Saunders on x 7962 for more information.
