Please help support the Macquarie University Startup Pitch Competition by promoting this great opportunity to your students – in any discipline!
Sponsored by the Pro Vice-Chancellor Learning and Teaching, the competition is brought to you by the Macquarie University chapter of the Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society (ASES). This is the third consecutive year that this initiative has been supported, and we seek your support by promoting the opportunity to your students.
The details of the competition are outlined here: http://www.asesmq.com.au/pitch/ – in summary, students are encouraged to:
- Come up with an idea
- Form a team (2 – 4 students)
- Work together to make a Pitch Deck (see site)
- Submit Pitch Deck by the deadline: 2nd May 2016
We welcome, and can assist in connecting students within and across cohorts and discipline areas to form teams – it’s not just for business students! Almost all students are or will be required to ‘pitch’ themselves and their ideas throughout their studies and beyond, so please encourage them.
There are some great free workshops that can help prepare students for the competition – and on that note, if you would be happy to provide mentoring to finalist teams, please let me know. Also, there is a cash prize pool of $10,000 for the winning teams and networking opportunities embedded at every step of the way.
