Find out what’s happening with TIP in Session 2

The Tutoring Induction Program (TIP), a professional development program for tutors and session staff, has undergone a restructure and this will be reflected from Session 2, 2015 and onwards. Get some practical tips on planning for your classes, encouraging discussion, being inclusive, managing emergencies and difficult situations, engaging your students, being an iLearn ninja, promoting academic integrity, developing your professional portfolio, and more.

New: HDR Online Application Assessment

The Learning and Teaching Centre will be running a workshop on HDR Online Application Assessment. As of April 2015 a new module of  Macquarie’s student management system will allow administrators and academics to conduct assessment of HDR and Research Pathway degree applications online.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Learning and Teaching Centre’s workshop “New to Teaching: the first tutorial” on Tuesday 3 March, we have scheduled another.

Academic Promotions – February 2015 round

promotionThe due date for the first round of applications for Academic Promotion (all levels) in 2015 is Friday 30 January 2015.
