IT maintenance: 6am – 12pm Sunday 18 December 2016 and 2017 dates

Scheduled IT maintenance is taking place on Sunday 18 December from 6am to 12pm, as follows:

6am – 7.30am
There will be an intermittent outage for up to five minutes in the following buildings, so that network switches can be rebooted to change passwords:
  • 7 Wally’s Walk (E6B)
  • 6 Science Road (E8B)
  • 19 Eastern Road (E11A)
  • 3 Eastern Road (E14B)
6am – 12pm
OneNet Wired, OneNet WiFi, telephones and Cardax access will be unavailable in building 14 First Walk (X5A) while power for the building network switches are redistributed.

eStudent, eApplications, eAcademic and AMIS will be unavailable on Saturday 5 November from 8am to 8pm to perform routine maintenance to Macquarie University’s Academic Management Information System (AMIS).

New Office 365 training sessions added

Following on from the success of the September Office 365 training sessions, Microsoft is running additional introduction and intermediate sessions for staff 18-20 October and 15-17 November. The sessions that will take place at 75 Talavera Road are appropriate for those who are new to Office 365 or who would like more in-depth training. You are encouraged to bring your own device, although it is not required.

OneNet and telephones

OneNet WiFi, wired network and telephones will be unavailable in the following buildings:

– 7.30am to 9am – 4 Western Road (W5C)
– 10am to 11.30am – 25 Wally’s Walk (W6B)
– 12.30pm to 2pm – 27 Wally’s Walk (W6D)

System and Network Maintenance – Sunday 18 September 2016

Scheduled system and network maintenance is taking place on Sunday 18 September from 4am to 1.30pm. Work is being undertaken to continue infrastructure and network upgrades, as a result the following systems and services are impacted:

On and off campus access to applications:

  • 4am to 12pm – All university applications will experience up to 5 intermittent outages that will last up to 10 minutes each.
    Telephones and off campus access to emails are unaffected.

OneNet and telephones:

OneNet WiFi, wired network and telephones will be unavailable in the following buildings:

  • 7am to 8.30am – 12 Second Way (C5A)
  • 9.30am – 11am – 3 Innovation Road (EMC)
  • 12pm to 1.30pm – 4 Research Park Drive (BD)
