With the imminent changes to the Assessment policy and the upgrade from Turnitin V1 to V2 now is the perfect time to revitalise and transform your unit into a ‘healthy unit’. How do you do this? Below we have provided a list of ‘diagnosis’ tools to help you perform surgery on your unit.
‘Diagnostic’ and ‘assessment’ tools to create a ‘healthy’ unit;
- The Faculty of Arts Peer Review of iLearn units – Policy and Design 0716
- 2015 Peer Review Online Reflective Statement (new branding)_FINAL_(BC310) updated 12 May
Changes to the Assessment Policy ;
Assessment Policy (Effective Session 2 2016)
- Schedule 1 Grading Requirements
- Schedule 2 Unit Assessment Requirements
- Schedule 3 Higher Degree Research Assessment Requirements (under development)
- Schedule 4 Final Examination Requirements
- Schedule 5 Moderation Requirements
Please watch this short video with A/Pro Peter Keegan and Dr Trudy Ambler presenting key elements of the ‘new’ Assessment Policy, 2016.
If you haven’t already please create an ‘Assessment’ section/topic which sits under the introduction to the unit. Therefore the first section heading is the Assessment heading followed by the learning content sections/topics. All assessment information and submission links should be placed in this area. This includes the HD examplar, Rubrics and any other necessary guidelines for the assessment.
Nomenclature and dates – Ensure the assessments are labeled as they are written in the Unit Guide and that submission dates and times are exactly the same as within the Unit Guide.
How do I create the new Turnitin V2 Assignment?
You will notice that when you cloned or created your unit that Turnitin no longer exists in your unit. You will need to recreate all your Turnitin assignments using Version 2! Remember to select Turnitin V2!
Want to reduce your stress levels? Then the next step is to setup Gradebook before session starts!
If you need assistance attend the Learning Innovation Hub – Learning Teaching Services Drop in Clinics over the session break or attend the regular Arts L&T team drop in clinics.
Remove – delete – excise any old learning and teaching material. Why? This material slows up the loading time of the unit.
The more clear and concise information you give a student about what you need them to do the less inquiry you will receive!
If you would like any help with making the required changes to the unit please contact the Arts L&T team by; firstname.lastname@example.org, onehelp ticket or phone 9850 4097 for an appointment.
