Macquarie University has a range of learning and teaching grant programs designed to provide academic and professional staff with internal funding to undertake scholarly work related to learning and teaching.
The internal learning and teaching grant opportunities are:
- Enhancement Program Grants
Innovation and Scholarship Program Grants
Innovation and scholarship program (ISP) grants are awarded on a competitive basis to fund proof-of-concept, evidence-based, exploratory learning and teaching projects, which test and evaluate an original or innovative idea and include a strong component of teaching and learning scholarship.
Seed ISP grants of $5-8,000 are available annually for small pilot projects, which test and evaluate an original idea. Applications can address any of the priorities in the Innovation and Scholarship program. Duration 6 months
Full ISP grants of $10-25,000 are available annually for projects identified and proposed by individuals or teams. Duration 12-18 months
Enhancement Program Grants
Enhancement Program (EP) grants are awarded on a competitive basis to fund projects which have previously been piloted at MQ or elsewhere (not national funding), promote and support strategic change for the enhancement of learning and teaching. Projects should devise a program of activities that will embed project findings into ongoing practice.
EP Grants may include large-scale curriculum development in an existing program. They may also include funding for specialist hardware and/or software for teaching, indicating how it enhances and integrates current learning and teaching initiatives.
Extension EP grants of $5-8,000 are available annually for small-scale curriculum development in an existing program. Duration 6 months
Full EP grants of $10-25,000 are available annually for projects identified and proposed by individuals or teams. Duration 12-18 months
